This past Friday night, power was shut off for several hours to a large area of the National Mall while emergency repairs were made to a damaged power line.

The regional power company there shut power off Friday at Midnight while repairs were made to a damaged power line near the Lincoln Memorial.

The power outage lasted about four hours. Many traffic and street lights, memorials and businesses were without power during this time.
