Renting Commercial Generators Is In High Demand

Joseph Coupal - Thursday, December 30, 2010
The demand for commercial generator rentals from commercial business owners has more than doubled in the the past few years. Power interruptions that have become very common it‘s the reason for the high demand with regard to machines. This is backed through the proven fact that almost everything right now operates on electricity there are lots of electric devices that are going close to in line with the constant progress from the technical globe. When confronted with the requirement for electrical power, it is not usually feasible to buy a generator. Thus, concept of renting out the same grew to become feasible.

Whilst renting an electrical generator is more convenient than buying one, it’s still necessary that one has adequate understanding on the type or even class or type of generator that company wants to rent. This is helpful, in terms of understanding how to keep it and what kind of fuel it needs, for it to operate efficiently. The size range we rent is 20kw-2000kw. While we offer many products that should just give you an idea of how much we have to offer.

In connection with this, it must end up being pointed out that the actual newer models or even more portable models are simple to manage and easy to run. Moreover, these types of designs include lesser exhaust as well as higher functionality. Additionally, increasingly more products are made environmentally friendly.

It is evident that leasing energy generator is more convenient compared to bought ones. To begin with, the expense are greatly reduced, since it is only going to pertain to a specific time period once the need for power occurs. Secondly, they are portable, and may be transported even just in the most remote rural areas. There can also be the additional benefit of much less maintenance price since it is going to be returned when use is no longer required. So if your commercial business is in need of a portable generator feel free to contact us today and we'll be happy to answer and questions you may have and help you on your way to powering your business.

One Of The Most Useful Tools In Power Generation: Load Banks

Joseph Coupal - Friday, December 17, 2010

One of the most useful tools in the realm of power generation is the load bank - a self-contained device that applies electrical loads to a power source, then converts or dissipates the resulting power. Power generation entails a number of different resources, tools, and solutions, ranging from generators and transformers to fuel tanks and power accessories. But one of the most useful tools in the realm of power generation is the load bank.

The purpose is to mimic the actual load that a power source will see in application. So, while a real load is served by an actual power source, a load bank serves the power source and uses its energy output to test, support or protect that source. This method of power generation is beneficial in that while a real load is often unpredictable and random in value; the load applied from a load bank provides an organized and controllable load.

Load banks - particularly applicable to the shipping, oil and gas, and utilities industries - can be put to various uses - one of the most common being in power system testing. For instance, many companies will need to test their lower power factor simulation, frequency converters, or entire electrical systems - often for maintenance purposes. And doing so can prevent the risk of costly power failures, as well as maximize efficient production during routine maintenance. Another common use is in the construction of gas turbine platforms and the commissioning of newly installed turbine or diesel generators. And finally, they are valuable tools in the reduction of wet stacking problems, periodic 'exercising' of generator equipment, battery testing, and the removal of carbon build-up on certain electrical or power generation equipment.

Load banks come in various sizes, and with different power-factor testing capabilities. What's more, they're available in portable and compact forms, enabling use in a range of spaces. Feel free to contact us at any time should you have any questions about load banks or power services and we’ll be happy to help.

Generator Choice Tips

Joseph Coupal - Tuesday, November 30, 2010

Hurricanes and other natural disasters such as floods, ice storms, and heat waves strike more often now a days. They come and wreak havoc on the lives and businesses of entire communities and leave in their wake destruction. Those of us who live in areas prone to hurricanes, flooding, and ice storms, know all too well that the initial disaster is only the beginning of the trouble. After evacuating in order to avoid personal harm we often come back to find broken windows, fallen trees, and more often than not downed power lines. In order to get life back on track it is necessary to have power and that is why many people decide to own or rent a portable generator. These simple machines can be a lifesaver when it comes to getting back to life and business. However, like all things they are not all created equally and as such there are a few important things to look for when purchasing or renting.

First of all one must decide how much power they realistically need to get things back up and running. To gauge this you will need to determine what types of appliances you need to run and how much energy they need. You will need to find out what sort of wattage the heater needs, or if it is hurricane season the air conditioner, also the refrigerator, water heater, and any other appliances in the house. When you add up all the wattage needed for these appliances it will often be much higher than what you realistically need.

Many appliances require a large amount of energy to start but not to run continuously. Others use the same amount whenever they are on. If you stagger your usage and don’t turn everything on at once you can often operate on a much smaller unit. Another important part of this is the willingness to compromise on unnecessary appliances. For instance leaving off the TV and the lights saves enough power to run a refrigerator and a furnace. On the other hand if it is necessary to have all of the appliances in the house all on at the same time and don’t want the hassle of picking the most important you will want to buy a larger generator. The tradeoff will be that the larger the unit the more gasoline it will consume.

Fuel efficiency is something to consider when choosing a generator because the availability of more fuel is not always guaranteed during a disaster. Smaller inverter types are more efficient than the larger higher wattage units. These inverters are best for delicate electronics like computers because they control the output in order to keep a steady stream with little or no spiking.

The last thing to consider is the amount of noise the generator puts out. Although not strictly a functional issue there is a quality of life issue to this matter. If you have a home fairly far from neighbors then noise is less of an issue but if you live in the city there are other people to consider as well as your own comfort. Gas engines can be loud and as such a smaller quieter model is preferable even if it comes at the expense of some power output.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have electricity on demand provided by a generator, New Orleans residents? There are many choices, here are some tips to aid you. Click here to view our products.
