Business Generator Rentals

Joseph Coupal - Monday, March 26, 2012

Many businesses need generators. But generators can be extremely expensive so many businesses opt for generator rental which is easier on the budget.

Rental generators provide backup power to your business when the power supply is interrupted.  This is especially important if power provides life support systems like for hospitals. Storms, accidents and power grid upgrades can all cause power loss for long periods of time.  Regardless of the reason for the power loss, business never has to be affected. At ElecComm Power, generator rental is available at very short notice if you don't have an emergency power contingency plan in place.

For Businesses that require extra power, renting generators is the perfect solution as well. When extra power is required, for an outdoor party, event or construction site, generator rental is ideal for the short-term. Contact ElecComm Power for your rental generator.

Rental Generators are an Easy Solution

Joseph Coupal - Monday, October 10, 2011

The demand for rental power generators has increased significantly in the recent years. Power interruptions have become a common occurrence. This is compounded by the amount of products that run and rely heavily on electricity. Considering the need for constant power, purchasing generators is a costly proposition, generator rental is an attractive option.

In fact, generator rental has become very popular. You can walk in and look at them, or renting requires a very simple act of picking up the phone, dialing the number and placing an order. There is also online renting, where you can view the product offerings and order. The equipment is then delivered to the renter.

Notwithstanding the fact that renting generators is easier than buying them, it is very important for us to have sufficient information on what type of generator should be rented. This is because we need to have a general idea of what it takes to run them, what kind of fuel they need to run, and how to operate them.

Every year the newer models of generators are more portable and easier to manage. Moreover, they offer greater functionality and a significantly reduced gas emission.

In looking at rental generators, in addition to product knowledge, consider dependability, good customer service and trustworthiness in choosing a company from which to rent.  A reliable support system is imperative.

A generator rental is more convenient than buying one. The cost is reduced because there is a fixed term for the use.

Rental Generators are Necessary in Many Industries

Joseph Coupal - Friday, July 08, 2011

In a number of cases, it is an economically sound idea to rent a generator rather than purchase one. And the uses for rental generators span all industries.

Special Events:

If you are running special events on a rotating basis at various locations it makes sense to order rental generators at the new location rather than carting one all over the place. Another obvious advantage is not having to pay for maintenance in case there's a breakdown.

Construction:
Additionally, in construction work, if you are starting on a new site, a rental generator can be delivered to the site. By renting at the start of each job, you save on capital expenses and maintenance, as well as saving yourself the trouble of storing and moving a generator.

Movie Production:

If your business is movie production, there are generators for that specifically that are very quiet.

Telecom:
There are tower power generators available to rent if you are in the telecom sector.

As far as the various sizes of generators, you can get rental generators for different types of applications with varying power outputs. You can hire generators that deliver 25 kW to 125 kW output and those that can deliver between 20kW to 2MWpower output. While the rental generators up to 125 kW rating have electronic governors, the 2000 kW output generator is the quietest generator set you would come across.

Rental Generators for Emergency Power Failure

Joseph Coupal - Wednesday, June 15, 2011

Well, hurricane season has officially started. Now we don’t often see hurricanes that are too bad in Massachusetts, but we don’t often see massive, destructive tornadoes either, or hail storms in June.  So to kick off hurricane season, we would like to remind you to not get caught unprepared in the event of an unexpected power loss.

When a major storm knocks your power out, emergency generators will keep you up and running and your lights on.

Last week in Greenwich, CT customers were left powerless from a series of CL&P system failures which began with a lightning strike last Wednesday. Repairs were waylaid by two more lightning strikes at the Cos Cob substation on Thursday night and increased demand in the suffocating early summer heat and humidity Friday evening caused further system failures.

During the height of the outages, the town used emergency generators to operate its sewage treatment plants and private customers, including Greenwich Hospital, switched to rented generators. According to Greenwich Hospital spokesman George Pawlush, the hospital used two rental generators for nearly 21 hours between Thursday and Saturday.

Portable rental generators can help you and your business continue to do business even with unexpected power failure. Often time, loss of power is catastrophic for a business, hospital, or municipal building. Call ElecComm for more information.

Local Ship Yard needs a Portable Generator to Keep Vessel Dehumidification System Running

Joseph Coupal - Thursday, June 09, 2011

Naval and shipping vessels battle humidity both in dock and at sea. An environment with both high levels of humidity and salinity can create an aggressive agent that can cause electrical failures and/or mechanical damage in a multitude of areas around the ship. This extremely corrosive environment can affect the operation of the sensors, weapon and command systems and propulsion systems of any ship adversely affecting their operational readiness.

Ships at sea and in dry dock need always have their dehumidification system running to prevent such ship board environments.

At a Local shipyard in New England, a vessel docked for maintenance and repairs. The shipyard did not have an adequate power supply to feed the ship's dehumidification system while in port. ElecComm Power Services has been called on to provide a 500kw generator to support this shipyard while this ship is in port. The portable generator will run continuously for 30 days as a supplemental power source while the ships repairs are made.

Air Conditioning Rentals

Joseph Coupal - Friday, May 27, 2011

If you are running an industry, managing a large office building, a hotel or are in charge of a hospital, you should expect unannounced emergencies. Theses emergencies can take any form, including those concerning your air-conditioner suddenly failing on a hot day. For these emergencies you need to consider air conditioner rental.

Air conditioner rental could also be used when running a special event or venue, such as an exhibition or outdoor charity event, for a week or two. Obviously, air conditioner rental is a better option than purchasing this equipment for short term use.

During an unseasonable warm heat wave, when your air conditioning system is working too hard, a supplemental AC system could be rented in order to air condition entire warehouses, office spaces and entertainment venues.

Rental air conditioning units is available in a very wide range of capacities. Air conditioners can be rented for any length of time from one day or a season to several months. ElecComm Power Services can provide a wide range of air conditioning units, ranging from the standard office cooling units powered by a normal 110-volt outlet to an 80-ton heavy-duty industrial package. These industrial units can be used for emergency, planned and contingency cooling projects.

Possibly, you may need a generator to run the air conditioning unit. The generators range in size from 20kW to 2MW. These are portable diesel sets and can be provided to you as a turnkey solution to your air conditioning requirement.

Many Industries can Benefit from Generator Rentals

Joseph Coupal - Monday, May 23, 2011

You can actually power your business on rented generators. Generator rentals are very economical as are rentals for heaters, chillers and load banks. It's not only emergencies, such as a power deficit, that create the need to rent a generator. Economically, in the case of a special event venue that would run for several days or a month it would only make sense to rent a generator rather than purchase one. A generator can be rented for virtually any specification and for any conceivable task and the terms are easy.

There are many situations and occasions when you may need a generator for rent. Such situations are based on your business. An office building may need a rental generator as a backup. Or, in the case of a hospital or a hotel, a generator is often needed as backup support. An ICU may need a generator to function as the main source of power supply during natural disasters or the in an environment where there is the potential to lose power since there can be no risk a power failure. Construction sites often require generators for hire as well since there may not be a ready power source at the location of the job site. Several small and large industries require generator rentals to keep them going on a regular basis such as the movie industry or the tower power generators for the telecom industry.

Rental generators are available in the power output range between 20kW to 2MW. These are fitted with systems for both emergency and safety shut down systems and can survive a hostile environment or inclement weather conditions.

What to Know Before You Rent a Generator – Generator Rental

Joseph Coupal - Tuesday, May 17, 2011

The Basic Question, Generator, What Is It?

A device that uses mechanical energy as a source to generate electrical energy is known as a generator. So when there isn’t a permanent arrangement of a source of electricity a rented generator from a Generator Rental can be of great help.

Can A Rented Generator Be Helpful?

A rented generator can prove to be very useful in various situations like lighting up a grand movie set in a far away location or arranging a party at a farmhouse in a town that has electricity for just two hours per day.

It can also help if you’re the wedding planner who needs to make a theme come alive in far away woods where there is no availability of electricity or if you’re a hospital, an ice cream parlor, an organization or an IT firm where an electrical downtime of some minutes of can lead to big losses. The above are just a few situations but believe me the main advantage of renting from a emergency Generator rental rather than buying one is its cost- effectiveness.

Deciding On The Right Size Of Generator?

Generators available are in the range of 125-150KW to the higher range of 2-4MW. Which to choose depends on items that will be used, that’s, which appliances will be put to use? Would only essential items like lights, fans, refrigerators, computer, TV be used or heavy items like Air Conditioners and Room heaters will also be used. The apt size for a generator is of great importance as a small generator may put extra load on the appliances which can ruin them. If you’ren’t able to really decide the size ask the rental agency and they’ll advise you on the correct size. The Procedure To Rent A Generator? A generator rental agency would be of help as they’ve now opened in abundance in the last couple of years in a large number of cities. Researching on rental stores in the city will not hurt either. When renting, choose a store preferably closer home.

Some Information That Might Help In Renting A Generator.

One more useful thing on the subject of this topic area. Ensure that the agency delivers the generator wherever required with an experienced electrician who can install and uninstall it when the job’s done. Since a generator functions on fuel keep it outdoors instead of keeping it indoors from safety point of view. Do keep in mind that if you have a populated neighborhood choose something that is make less noise.

Environment Friendly Generators Are Available In The Market

In the age of Go-Green, Go-Clean this question isn’t a surprise. Clean generators like Wind and Solar are making their way in the market and will rule the markets very soon. Always remember, a rented generator is better since Generator Rentals ensure that it’s well-maintained but if you happen to buy one the onus of maintenance is totally upon you.

Having electricity in a time of crisis can be a life saver. Generator rental when you know a storm is brewing could be the most important decision you ever make. Think about all the things you need a power source for, can you really survive without them?
